Zex uses explicit status surfaces and treats uncertainty as a first-class state.

Canonical vocabularies (source-of-truth)

Do not copy/paste enums into docs. Always refer to canonical repo contracts:

• Platform contracts: docs/contracts/v1/ in the platform repo.

What we can’t know yet (UNKNOWN)

UNKNOWN means the system cannot confirm an outcome (e.g., dependency outage). It must:

• Avoid implied success
• Provide stable references and replay guidance
